During my time at university ‘marketing’ sounded like an exciting area of business to work in, and so 14 years ago I embarked on a career at Boots the Chemist helping to relaunch their No7 cosmetics brand, followed by exposure across the entire marketing mix at Marston’s Brewery.

As part of a decision to move to the ‘big smoke’ I discovered the world of recruitment, and it appealed to me that my daily dealings would involve ‘people’, be it advising candidates on their career ambitions, helping clients looking to find that next valued team member or through developing my own team, guiding them through their progression in the workplace. It turned out that this perfectly suited my skills; a desire to build lasting, positive relationships combined with a strong work ethic and a level of organisation that to some may seem slightly obsessive!

I am now in the enviable position of being able to draw on my experience from both chapters of my career, and combining the two means that I am able to bring the benefit of this exposure into all aspects of my current role: key relationship management, new business development, career guidance and advice, talent mapping, marketing and branding.
